HARVEST DINNER
This year's Harvest Dinner will take place, Sunday, September 21, 2008.
We are seeking volunteers and food donors to help with this year's dinner. Please contact us if you'd like to assist!


GAME PROCESSING CLASS

September 28 9am -1pm
Get ready this September for deer hunting season with this free class,  taught by Dan Russell. He will focus on quartering big game, learning various cuts of meat, and wrapping meat for the freezer. Please bring a sharp knife and a dish to contribute to the mid-day potluck and game meal. To sign up please call PSM 997-1050. Dan will contact participants to discuss details. Space is limited.

THE 2008 SUSTAINABILITY SERIES
PSM presents a broad spectrum of classes and presentations designed to inspire and educate about sustainability. All classes are open to the public. Some classes have materials fees, and donations to support PSM are always welcome! Please pre-register for all events.

  • September Game Processing. Get ready for deer hunting season by learning how to skin and butcher deer with Dan Russell.
  • October 5th beer and cider making. Join local brew masters who will teach you how to turn those extra fall apples into cider to drink this winter. $40 materials fee. Please pre-register.
  • November Cheese Making. Local cheese makers will help you learn the art of turning local milk into delicious cheese. Please pre-register.
  • December Rose hips: endless possibilities. Learn how to turn wild Rose Hips into cordial, sorbet, honey, vinegar, tea and soup! Please pre-register.
