A series of free classes to inspire and educate. Please join us for one or all!
• January 27, 2- 4 pm Baking with Whole Grains. Learn how to incorporate locally grown whole grains into great recipes
• February 26, 7 pm The State of the Methow, The State of the World A series of 10 minute presentation by local experts at the Twisp River Pub. Doors open at 6 pm with snack menu available, presentation starts at 7 pm.
• March 30 Pruning Your Fruit Trees with Richard and Jocelyn Murray at Twisp River Organics.FULL
• April 27 3-5 pm Edible Weeds in Your Garden with Rosalee at Ancestree Herbals at Sunny Pine Farms.
• May 18, 12 pm Yoga for Gardeners at Moksha Studio above Tappi. Learn poses to help you become a more agile gardener. Please pre-register for this class as space is limited. Please call PSM at 997-1050 to register
• Wednesday, June 18th No fear when using a pressure canner and canning veggies, 5:30-7:30 pm * $5 supply fee payable at class. Please pre-register with PSM 997-1050
•Tuesday July 15th, 5:30-7:30 pm Canning Class: Pickle pointers and fermenting sauerkraut* $5 supply fee payable at class. Please pre-register with PSM 997-1050
• Wednesday, August 13th, 5:30-7:30pm Tomato Rama: making salsa, canning tomatoes, juice blends and spaghetti sauce * $5 supply fee payable at class. Please pre-register with PSM 997-1050
• September, Game Processing Get ready for deer hunting season by learning how to skin and butcher deer with Dan Russell. Please pre-register.
•October, Beer and Cider making Join local brew masters who will teach you how to turn those extra fall apples into cider to drink this winter. Please pre-register.
• November, Cheese Making Local cheese makers will help you learn the art of turning local milk into delicious cheese. Please pre-register.
• December, Rose hips: endless possibilities Learn how to turn wild Rose Hips into cordial, sorbet, honey, vinegar, tea and soup! Please pre-register.
Unless stated, all classes are free with donations welcome and are open to the public.
